I will miss them!

Seth got a little eager in wiggling his front teeth out. they have been missing since the end of August and they aren't even poking through yet? My Dad assures me that they are there so I guess we will just have to wait. (I think he is still a handsome little fella)
Syd asked me to take her picture one afternoon and preceded to model for me! Love it!!

Not a little lady quite yet. She is such a mover...the funny thing is she already knows that she can see her picture after each shot so she will come up to me so she can look at herself but she doesn't sit still long enough to get her with her dress down.
Love this pic...She is laying on my tummy..I think she likes me!!
So, even though I am a firm believer that Moms need breaks; I will miss them terribly!! We have been dealing with lots of drama around here. Seth has been sick which then so did Syd and me and Chloe has been getting more teeth in. Needless to say we have had some, oh so fussy, children around these parts and a semi cranky Mommy. I have a feeling next week I will miss the little boogers. So I am posting these pics so that I can frequently check my blog and gush over them. Mamaw: be sure to give them extra kisses from me. Cuddle them more and spoil them rotten!! I am sure you can handle it!! I love you Seth,Sydney and Chloe!!!
All my love , Mom

P.S. I will miss you to babe..I will be sure to think of you often and not at all in a gloating way...it really won't be as good without you with me!!!

Lucky Me!

You are allowed to be jealous! In a week I will be basking in the sun with this beautiful backdrop to keep me company. I am going on a Caribbean cruise for a whole week. The only down side is that Mike doesn't get to join me :( But I do get the best Mike Substitute Sandra to come be my roomie!! I am so excited to see the sun and you Sndra...we got more snow last night, YUCK! I will miss my little ones but I know that they will be in good hands. Thanks Mamaw Eaton for coming to watch them. Life is good and will be even better in a week!

Dear Seth,

You are an awesome little guy! You are the best big brother and your sisters are lucky to have you. You have always had the kindest heart and always think of others. You are such an example to me. I love how much you are loving school. I hope that you always will. Daddy signed you up for wrestling, he thinks it will make you tough...I am a little nervous I don't want anyone to hurt you. But you told me that you will do great and you are sooo excited. You make me smile. I love you Buddy!

Love, Mom

16 months old

Things Chloe has been up to.....
You are still little but growing:
You are off the bottle.
You have discovered the trash can and will throw anything away.
You love to give hugs and kisses! Especially to anyone laying on the floor.
You have learned to fold your arms during prayer (need to get a picture. It's so cute and she caught on all by herself. I looked at her one night during family prayer and she had the sweetest smile on her face with her arms folded!!)
You can follow directions like "Get me a diaper and Go get in your Chair."
You will not talk! The only word you have said consistently is "Hi."
You bite occasionally, I hope this does not become a habit.
You are getting more teeth.
You are still a great eater and love your mixed veggies except you have been leaving behind the carrots recently.
Puppy Love
Giving Puppy kisses.
You to Mom.
Love this stage....it makes me miss when Seth and Sydney were doing the same things.

So Far so Good!

Well, I am very glad to report that we have made it two days. I am actually not finding it to difficult, yet. I have really just paid attention more to what my kids are eating during the day instead of letting them have free rain of the pantry. I give them two snack a day Morning and Afternoon. This seems to be helping on the all day Grazing we used to do around here. We have also had two delicious dinners. Mike made Deer tonight and it was really good...Syd wasn't a huge fan but Seth loved it.

It seems like my kids are getting so BIG... I still need to post A day in the life of Seth. I really can't believe how big he is getting. He has had a bit of an attitude lately. I keep trying to tell myself that this is a phase and he will get better...at least that is what I tell myself so that I don't go crazy!!! What is so frustrating is that I know he listens to his teachers at school I just don't know why he won't for me. When I ask him to do something I am being Bossy! However, He makes me smile and is an awesome big brother.
This giant Icicle was hanging off our front porch, I know it looks like a death trap!
It is sooooo nice to have Michael back home. In some ways being forced to be apart can be a blessing because it really makes you appreciate each other more. We had Daddy a surprise when he got home. The kids really wanted to make him a cake, all their idea. So I spiced it up and we sent Daddy on a scavenger hunt around the house....the kids loved it and at the end was the Cake. Sorry the quality of picture is a little off.

They really do love their Daddy!

Inspired

I haven't made a news years resolution in a long time. I just don't believe in them. Honestly, how often to they ever get accomplished and then as women we beat ourselves up over it and feel guilty for years to come. So, I gave up on them awhile ago. I try to improve myself slowly and make goals on a short term bases like weekly or even hourly (I really have to keep in mind the short term). However, this year I have made a goal...I do realize that it is February but who really counts January anyway. I decided that I am really going to try and eat healthier and to feed my family healthier. For most of you that read this you know that I am a horrible picky eater and have been so since birth. Fortunately in my "older" age I am learning to like a lot of things I NEVER thought I would. So as I was realizing that we have NO food in our fridge and junk in our cupboard I was embarrassed to think that this is what my kids had been living off of aka Cheetos, chips and Mac n' cheese. So I have decided to make a change! Wish me luck and if you have any ideas on a delicious meal for us to try Please let me know.
